Lucid Dreaming Ep. 8 & 9

Lucid dream inception - is it still a lucid dream??

So I woke up one night very confused thinking I had a lucid dream inside of a normal dream. Since I was conflicted on whether or not this “technically” counted as a lucid dream, I took the highly scientific approach of polling my instagram followers. 100% of the responders (only 2 people lol) said yes - so we’re going with it. Lucid dreams inside normal dreams are still lucid dreams! Which leads me to my next two lucid dreams…

(07/05) - “Graduation Snafu”

The first lucid dream had a very real trigger, something happened in the dream that was not part of my physical reality at the time, and all of a sudden I knew I was dreaming but ALSO that I was dreaming inside of a dream. How cool. I basically woke myself up right away because I wanted to end what was happening in the dream, so I woke myself up into the regular dream at which point I lost lucidity? I’m still so confused about how this worked…

(07/07) - “Flying in cookie land”

The second time I got lucid inside of a regular dream I was (slightly?) more prepared. In this dream I remember performing a reality check to see if gravity worked. I jumped up in the air and promptly fell into a body of water. This was really weird because this is a reality check that I have never tried to implement in my waking life; I have read about it before though. The water covered the ground for as far as I could see into the distance and I remember concluding it must not be a dream because reality was working and I started plunging into the water. But at the last second I realized I could fly and so I zoomed myself straight upwards. This was intention-based flying and I didn’t use any physical aids within the dream. Usually I lose the dream scene upon becoming lucid so it was nice to be able to continue the dream. The world felt almost like a video game world and I somehow knew that it was a vertical world so to go forward I should just fly upwards. I flew up and paused in the air for a moment, noticing that I was a bit hungry. I decided to test the power of my belief so I tried to take a bite out of air and “taste” a cookie. However, I didn’t really believe that the air would satisfy me like a cookie so it pretty much tasted like nothing. I decided it might be easier for me to use a physical aid so I flew to a 3x3x3 floating cube of cubes and ate one of the component cubes instead. This time it did taste like a cookie yum. I lost lucidity shortly after this, and I can’t remember exactly what made me lose control but I think I remembered I was supposed to be on a “partner mission” and realized my partner was missing (because I dawdled eating air haha) so I panicked and went to look for them, which made me wake up into the regular dream. Still so confusing…
